second chances

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I’d build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I’d finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I’d take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites.
I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I’d do more hugging and less tugging.

  1. i think you fit that bill!

i have seen you bonding with naddu, talking to him, joking around, rendering him breathless with tickles and then dragging him by his feet for another round…
and all this without any inhibitions…its enviable!
    you’re a great mother…ive seen it.and you are definitely naddu’s first love!
its all over his face, everytime he looks at you!

  2. excuse me for sounding filmy, but i remember shahrukh talking about his kids in one of his interviews and he said:
‘i believe kids.. till the age of 15 shold be covered in dirt and mud.’

  3. thannks khiz- i think i posted it to remind myself that eventually it WILL all matter- the time you spent, the things you dont’do and do everything…:) words were somehow said well.

cheeky- hahahah. shahrukh khan quote?? seriously?? πŸ˜€
